Tolera Storm – Self Titled
Tolera Storm is navigated by music producer David Lawell and spans many different arenas such as music, art and dance. In the past, the project has included many different performers. Currently, it is composed primarily of David Lawell who finds himself residing in MontrĂ©al, Canada. He’s rockin’ the QuĂ©bec scene with a truly unique and original dance experience filled with dubby 2step bass lines, beats ranging from breaks to dubstep/trance, hook line and sinker vocals and original live remixes. Before Canada, Tolera Storm was hittin’ the Big Island of Hawai’i with it’s unique sounds performing occassionally with the local Ecstatic Dance crew in East Puna. It all started in Austin, Texas where David lived amongst many talented and gifted musicians and artists while recording their various instruments or voices and later remixing them into his original beats and music producing a truly unique sound.

Some of the musicians ptrviously involved include Persian vocalist Mohammad Firoozi (Atash, The Gypsies); Jason McKenzie (Atash) on tablas, kit drum, and kanjira; Brad Houser (Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians, Critters Buggin’, and Maimou)on bass guitar and alto sax; Javanese opera singer Holly Johnson; Laura Scarborough on Piano (The Laura Scarborough Project, Lila’s Medecine); Joey Santori on sitar, saz, and dumbek (Oliver Rajamani, Burnr, The Alpha Rhythm); and David Lawell on didgeridoo, vocals, beat master and engineer (Burnr, Cielo) An ambitious musical endeavor bearing tonal gifts for all involved.
